Cheyenne
Cheyenne was a fantastic show jumping horse, you could see it in his long legs! Sadly, he picked up an injury, wasn’t fit to compete anymore, and so he joined a long list of unwanted horses. He did some light work before he was retired, although his back foot wasn’t good, he benefited from the exercise.
He was eventually voluntarily signed over to APAC in June 2011 due to his owner no longer being able to attend to him. He needed a lot of vet care and a loving home. With us, he led a quiet life, mixing well with the other horses, and enjoying being free to roam and to eat in the field, with none of the pressure or stress of work. Unfortunately, his leg injury troubled him for the rest of his time with us.
The winter is always a hard time for our older horses, and we lost Cheyenne in the cold season in 2018. He would have loved a permanent home, but was happy enough at APAC. He was a kind boy and loved the attention he received from all the children at our Pony Club. He is sadly missed. Run free Cheyenne.
