Curio
Born at APAC in 2018.
Curio was our mischievous little colt, causing chaos and spreading love everywhere he went.
Curio, short for Curiosity was the surprise offspring of Peanut, an abandoned pony we rescued from the streets with a very damaged back leg. Totally his Mummy’s boy, Curio was taken great care of by Peanut, with Lucio as his other great protector; this grand horse was happy to have a little follower with him everywhere he went, and loved his role as big brother.
Full of beans, Curio grew up to be a bundle of energy and confidence. He loved being around all our horses and was accustomed to lots of other company in the form of dogs, goats & cats! A very unexpected friendship also formed between Curio and the mighty and bossy Bambina. She must have been mellowing in her more mature years as she would have eaten naughty Curio for breakfast 5 years before! It surprised us all, but they happily shared food and companionship.
By the time he was a year old, Curio had developed a great personality, but could be quite mischievous. He required lots of space to run and play in his new home. And in 2020 our naughty pony, found an amazing new home which offered just that. We wished him well and asked him to be a good boy for his adoptive family. We were, and remain so happy for him, but miss his funny antics!
